Sunday morning

Sunday morning

Still tucked under the quilt, a gentle morning nip in the air sneaking in through the window I left open…just a crack.  In no hurry,  That’s what is unique, special, and magnificent about Sunday Morning.sunday

Sunday is Long run day — but not just yet.  Two weeks.  In two short weeks my Disneyland Dumbo Double Dare training begins.  Until then, I’m just keeping the legs limber, resting up my knees and my foot.  Just giving myself some rest, knowing I need to get my head together.

This week, friends have come to the rescue.  To offer support, comfort, advice.  What they say is simple…and consistent.  Just start running again Diane.

Yea.   Stop thinking so much yellow!  And just go outside and do it.  Allow yourself to feel spring on your face.  Allow yourself to remember how much you used to enjoy it.  And when you do…..you will find her.  She didn’t go far.  She’s in there waiting for you…..to get up off the couch…a.g.a.i.n.

Sunday morning — peace and quiet.  Inside my head too.  That’s step 1.  For me, a hugely critical step.

Ciao for now….Diane

About Diane

Ciao! My name is Diane. I'm a wife, a mom, a working professional, and a Weight Watcher from New Jersey. I started blogging in 2011, at 45 years old, when I was training for my first Half Marathon at Rutgers on April 22, 2012. Since then, I've lost 80 pounds, completed my Half Marathon goal and gone on to train for and run my very first Full Marathon. On Jan 13, 2013, I ran the Disney Marathon in Orlando, Fl! What an incredible day. As the saying goes -- "The person who starts the race is not the same person who finishes the race." I am forever changed! So now we move on to the next phase of this journey! Come along. We're in this together!! Ciao for now!
