Yesterday was Day 1 — 30 minutes of run/walk intervals and I was flat on the floor. Catching my breath. Hoping someone would help me up. Luckily tomorrow is a rest day!

A fresh new start
I’m starting Couch-to-5K again today. Week 1, Day 1. To be a runner, you need to look the part. So, a brand new fresh pair..seemed appropriate.

Dreaming a new dream..
I’m full of emotions of late. Rather than attempt to name them all, I’ll just categorize them into — NoT GOoD! I’m feeling Old. Ick — what a horrible 3-letter word. O.L.D. That’s the blackest black cloud I can imagine right now. Being old before my time. I’ve been trapped in this black cloud for the greater part of 2014. That’s the bad news.
The good news….when you stay inside of it long enough…you are bound to find the silver lining.

I’m so tired

Goals Goals Goals…
I’m motivated by g.o.a.l.s….BIG and s.m.a.l.l….. The Key to motivation is the WANTING the outcome more than you DiSLiKe the work you have to put in to get it! So, I want to spend the next year Eating Right and conquering my Binge behavior. I’m thinking of motivating myself by Running the Honolulu Marathon and then spending my 50th birthday in Hawaii!! Hmmm…… muy interesante!!!

One of life’s B.E.S.T. days
June 2014 will be a month of many firsts. My eldest daughter Caitlin, my first little bundle, is 18 years old — in her senior year of high school. With 16 days of school left….Let the ride begin!
Last night was the Senior Prom 2014 — only one word to describe it. B.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l!!!

Tuesday — back to work after the long Memorial Day weekend. I’m grateful to have a great job — but I sure did like the long weekend. Time with my family. Time in the sunshine. Spending time in the garden gave me the chance to notice — my roses are about to B.U.R.S.T with color.

I’ve been feeling sad. I don’t know why. but what I do know is, that when my emotions are down…..my thoughts follow. When my thoughts follow…my behaviors tag along. So it’s time to change course. Set a new direction. Take a new journey. This one is a long one. Where it goes….I can’t predict. But when it ends…is very precise. 590 days from now.
