Seeing Erin again today was wonderful. Scooping her up out of her dorm with her stuff and taking her with us — even better! We are driving to Florida in two vehicles, packed with everything we own that didn’t go to storage. Peter is driving the Forerunner with Erin and Jewel (in her kennel) as passengers. I’m driving the Camry with my iPod loaded with every tune I have ever loved from 1980 to present.

365 Days of Happiness (167/365)
Our last party in our home was a rather intimate one!
365 Days of Happiness (166/365)
I’m writing to you tonight from the comfort of our blow-up mattress, on the floor of our luxurious empty master bedroom. I kinda got a grumble-growl from my 6’1″ husband when he laid down and his feet stuck out of the bottom. Come onnnnn baby — curl up and cuddle tonight Peter…..Moving is like camping…(not glamping)…it’s an adventure!

As we continue to pack, wrap, stuff and tape — preparing for our house sale closing on Friday — I am reminded that there are alot of things I will miss about this house, but perhaps none more than the laundry room closet door. Read the rest of this entry

Happiness is fitting a sweet cup of Magnifico’s Yo-Cream frozen yogurt into your Weight Watchers daily smart points on a gorgeous afternoon. I’ve been doing so well losing weight on the new program, and a big part of the reason has been because I’m learning how to fit the “rule of SPs” into my everyday life. As summer approaches….ice cream begins calling. It’s good to know that I can still have a frozen treat on the weekend! Those are Smart Points indeed!! #ChooseHappiness365 (163/365) #SprinklesAreForWinners #VanillaRocks

The world lost a bit of magic yesterday. The beautiful one, Prince, died yesterday.
As children of the 80’s….Prince was ours. I say that, but he belongs to all of us, all generations. Even as young girls. my daughters experienced Prince, through me. Raspberry Beret, Little Red Corvette, Purple Rain, and my favorite, The Most Beautiful Girl In The World.
He was a poet, a musical genius, who transcended generations, culture, race, gender……he found a way to speak to all of us. His message? Oh, don’t rely on me (or anyone else) to tell you …. go, spend time with Prince and listen to the words from the master himself.
Live your life, on your terms. Be kind to one another. Be YOU. And don’t wait. Life is fragile, and we never know how many days any one of us will get. Go Be Bold. And remember the Purple One. Dearest Prince, — we are still listening, and will be forever. Thank you…. for it all. Go in Peace. #ChooseHappiness365 (161/365)
