In keeping with the “puppy” theme for a second day in a row — today’s happy thing is about our dogs, Jewel and Zoey. Many people feel that dogs are simple creatures….driven by food, how to get food, how to beg for even MORE food. And that their affection shown to their “people” is all motivated by getting food.

Time is a funny thing. Sometimes it drags, and other times it flies!! Well all of a sudden —- time is flying in my household. For my eldest daughter at Rollins College, finals begin this week. It’s part of the rites-of-passage to bring her home for Christmas! Be smart sweetheart, and do your best.

I was chatting on the phone yesterday with a good friend. She was helping me with advice on a recent problem that has surfaced in my life. We had a great talk. It was a sojourn of a conversation — with left and right turns. In the end, we didn’t S.O.L.V.E my problem. Time, effort, sweat and a little luck will solve my problem.

Stepping out of the house this morning, and walking toward the driveway — I was confronted by two little rose buds, who do NOT know it’s November. Keep blossoming, little rosebuds. You are not alone. LOL, Joan — it took waaaaay too long, but Peter and I finally sat down over Thanksgiving weekend and worked the Maui puzzle you gave us over a year ago! It was fun…and frustrating…and enjoyable….and frustrating.. 🙂

With Thanksgiving behind us, I like to take this beautiful Friday and begin what should be referred to as “Christmas Card & Holiday Card” season. Oh, the joy! Christmas trees, colorful twinkle lights AND christmas and holiday cards! It really can’t get any better.

Happy Thanksgiving!! I’m up early — a creature of habit. My plans are to stay home today, cook a turkey for Peter and myself, and (of course) — watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
