I was in the NY office today, and had a chance to talk to other New Jerseyans about their experiences during Hurricane Sandy. Some were OK, like me…Others, lost so much. The stories are the same, up and down the NJ, NY, and CT coastline. Broken hearts. Broken homes. But then, while chatting with Marathon Brian, and telling my story about how we made out OK, even with the South River across the street — Brian said something profound. Hola amigos!! I’m back. Survived!! Agh, it was a crazy, memorable two weeks — BUT — no complaining here. We are safe. We are together. We are at home. Warm and cozy. So many good people in New Jersey have lost everything because of Hurricane Sandy. We lost our power, our heat, our showers, some trees, part of our roof, alot of our patience…..for almost 8 days…..but in the grand scheme of things…..we are blessed. So, no complaining.
