It’s time to share the good news.  I got a new job!

Losing one’s job is a process.  Managing unemployment is a process.  Searching for a new job is a process.  Even getting hired is a process!   The verbal offer came a little over a week ago, then the letter, then the pre-employment screening, then the background check.  After ALL OF THAT — I think I’ve made it to the ‘excitement’ phase!

My Mother’s Day began with breakfast in bed – served by my two beautiful daughters.   Coffee and kisses to start…..followed by a scrambled egg with some ground turkey, atop 1/2 a toasted english muffin.  Oh and more kisses! It was perfect.  The simple act of being cared for by my grown daughters……a little role reversal….gave me the opportunity to witness their care, compassion and love in action.

I hope for all of the mothers out there…..a lovely day, surrounded by the children whom are your heart and soul day-in and day-out.

Because it’s my Saturday morning ritual — I got up e.a.r.l.y. this morning and headed out to my Weight Watcher weigh in.  Only this week – I was heading out to a location in Altamonte Florida, with a whole bunch of strangers.  I found it with the help of google maps on my phone.  The leader seemed nice enough as she weighed me in.  I was down 4.2 pounds this week!  WOW.  I could feel I was making great choices this week during the move and the drive to Florida — but Holy Cow Batman!

At the same time, at the WW in East Brunswick, NJ, my friend Brian was sitting in “our” back row…..missing me, as evidenced by the picture he texted me.  My heart felt a twinge of pain….and a little bit of joy.  #Don’tForgetMe  #IWillNeverForgetYou  #ChooseHappiness365 (176/365)
