Hi there, I’m Diane. I starting running in 2011 when I was 45 years old, as a means of losing weight. I’ve spent my life on the Couch, but set out on a mission to remake myself from a couch potato into a runner. With Great Thanks to Couch to 5K!
This blog began as a means to share my personal journey from my Couch to the Finish line of the Rutgers Unite Half Marathon on April 22, 2012. It was 13.1 miles, and million baby steps. What I gained through the process of training turned out to be more vital to my life than the weight I set out to lose. I learned that I am STRONG! And that I can accomplish anything I dedicate my mind to.
I set a new goal for myself — which is to run the Walt Disney World Marathon in Orlando Florida on January 13, 2013. It feels like a tremendous thing to attempt…..but having a Vision for myself Pulls Me Forward….and I’ve banished the words Nervous and Scary from my vocab for a while.
Besides……Trying and Never Surrendering is All That is Required! Come along……it’ll be fun!
Ciao for now……Diane
Good blog, sis. Your hard work and determination is admirable. Keep going… Donna
Thanks Donna — I’m working on it! Love you, Diane
