Driving home tonight, my mind was enjoying thoughts of Christmas. It’s coming fast! I recalled a conversation my mom and I had last summer. She told me stories about her and dad — so many things that I never knew. This one — is about Christmas. Christmas long ago. When I was a kid.
Erin came home for Christmas tonight. Final exams and the fall semester of her sophomore year are over. Now we get to fill her up with love…and eggnog

We went back to Valley View Farm and Caitlin shopped for her personal ornaments for our apartment Christmas tree.
She finished dressing our beautiful ever green. It’s feeling like Christmas now!! All we need is Erin to finish finals and come home next weekend.

Peter and I are sitting in our bedroom looking out at the water as the 2016 Baltimore parade of lighted boats goes bye…..OMG, such a beautiful season….my soul is filling up with JOY!

Peter is driving Erin back to campus as I type. We thoroughly enjoyed the long Thanksgiving weekend with her home. Next home will be Caitlin. In just 12 days, she will finish her fall semester at Rollins and board a plane home from Florida for winter break! We’ll have Cait all to ourselves for a week before Erin s back.

On our way to the Columbia Mall this morning and decided to stop by the house. Right on target, they have begun framing. In a week or so, the roof will be on and Ben, our PM, says nothing will slow them down after that.

We spent the day after Thanksgiving at the Christmas Festival in Baltimore. An array of beautiful German Christmas merchandise and delicious food and beverage. Erin was all smiles. Peter held my hand as we walked around.
